Independent English Learning
A trilingual (English / Español / Français) science-backed English-learning hub for Spanish-speaking adult beginners. Single-page, self-contained, no signup, no tracking, no frameworks — pure HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript, designed to actually be usable on a commute, in a break room, on a phone with one bar of signal.
Design rationale
Most ESL content fails adult learners by ignoring how their lives actually look. Independent English Learning is built on six published research bases (Krashen, Nation, Mayer, Cepeda et al., Swain, Zimmerman) and translates them into something a working adult can pick up for five minutes during a commute. The Triple Input Cycle is the structural spine: Perception (audio drills, cognate lists, video models) → Interaction (sentence frames, prompts, peer practice) → Autonomy (the 90-day plan and habit anchors).
What an organization should take from this
If your L&D team is producing content that looks like a training module from 2008, this is the standard you can hire to. Same engineering principles applied to compliance training, onboarding, technical upskilling, customer enablement — built so adults actually use it, not so it ticks a box.
